Ingredients for a "Zanzara"
Quantities for one drink:
- 1.35 oz Blood Orange
- 1.01 oz Tequila Blanco
- 0.68 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
- 0.34 oz Simple Syrup
- 2 Unit/s Cucumber
Blending Instructions:
- 1, Muddle two medium slices of cucumber in a shaker glass with 1 cl of simple syrup
- (My simple syrup is equal parts sugar and water, brought to a boil
- )
2, Add 2 cl freshly squeezed lemon juice, 3 cl Tequila Blanco (I'm using El Jimador) and 4 cl Blood orange syrup (Ravifruit - Orange Sanguine)
- 3, fill it up with ice, shake it hard
- 4, Fine strain it into a chilled martini glass
- 5, garnish it with a slice of cucumber or cucumber peel
- Beautiful and fantastic

We wanted to make a drink called "Zanzara" (or Mosquito), and started to think of the ingredients. Blood orange came up and that was basically the start...
