Ingredients for a "Dixie Daiquiri"

Quantities for one drink:

  • 1 Oz Parline Pecan Liqueur
  • 1 Oz Golden Rum
  • 1 Oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • 3 Dash/es Splash Of Water
  • Oz A Very Small Pinch Of Salt (optional)

Blending Instructions:

  • In cocktail shaker 3/4 full of ice, Add all ingredients, Shake well, Strain into chilled cocktail glass, Garnish with lime wheel or 3 smoked pecan halves skewered on a cocktail sword that is laid on top rim

Recipe by Thomas N. Holland,server and part time banquet bartender at L'auberge du Lac Hotel and casino, Lake Charles La. No simple syrup needed in this daiquiri! This is an intense and surprisingly complex drink (to the palate).The splash of water and a small pinch of salt may balance the extreme sweet&sour nature of the drink for you. We use bottles of this Pecan liqueur as an ammenty in Room Service. I was asked by the F&B manager to come up with some recipes.This is one of them .I hope you enjoy as much as I.
