The Burnt Velvet is just something me and a group of friends came up with a long while back by accidentally mixing the ingredients we had out. The name is inspired by the fact that I spilled lighter fluid on my hand earlier and decided to light my hand on fire. The drink is created by portions and not usually by measurement. Each portion is roughly 1.25 ounces. ** Please note that it makes for a better, more authentic Burnt Velvet if you tip the cup when adding the last three ingredients, to keep the velvet on top.
